(no not Zinedine:) )

HSV have completed the signing of Mohamed Zidan from Mainz.
I was very impressed by him last season for Mainz, and I think its a good signing. Maybe he can get some goals for us next season, we all know that was our major problem last season.

Welcome Mo

Yes, hes a very good player, but injured at the moment (which i think was the biggest problems of all last season). From what i read he seems to be a bit of a difficult character and needs alot of privileges, hope he gets along well with Stevens.

Nice stories. Not more. Stevens and Zidan had a very long talk about the system and the role Zidan should take. And Zidan was more than enthusiastic afterwards.

There was an interview with Zidan some weeks ago where he was saying that he had problems in Bremen with not being accepted as a person that is a bit crazy sometimes. I think it makes a big difference to play in a noname team like Mainz or in a bigger club (like Bremen) or a real big club (like HSV) where he is not the lone star but just one amongst many players.

well, sometimes you don't get on with your boss, perhaps there was a personality clash between Zidan and Schaaf.
But I don't think he has been a problem anywhere else with Mo, so i have every hope that he can play well for HSVhsvklatsch hsvklatsch

oh, don't mention penalties to an English football fan! I was starting to look forward to next season!

World cup 2006
Euro 2004
Euro 2000
World Cup 1998
Euro 1996
World Cup 1990

Chris Waddle, Stuart Pearce and Gareth Southgate got a special kind of fame after 1990 and 1996, but the roll-call is now getting too long.

and last summer, watching England v Portugal from Schalke Arena, from 60 minutes, i knew exactly what was coming. It was just a question of who would mess up this time. Step forward, steven gerrard and jamie carragher, the Liverpool connection :(
but of course we blamed the Man United player (ronaldo) for getting St Wayne sent off.

one day our time will come!!

Penalty shoot-out is a simple procedure in which 10 players try to get the ball into the net and in the end England always loses ;)

Only one outcome there, unfortunately.
